I hope MAC comes up with a shade as gorgeous as this one but in shimmer or cream form.Īvailability: North America September 15, 2011 I am a bit disappointed in Genuine Treasure as it is a glitter instead of a shimmer or cream, which I appreciate more. I also like the multi-purpose aspect of the cream paint pots as they can also double as a liner. That’s not to say that Paint Pots aren’t awesome Pro. There are two new shades, but other than that, there haven’t been any changes to the ingredient list, nor to the price, or size, or packaging, or anything else. I am impressed with the cream paint pots in this collection like Idyllic and Imaginary as their pigmentation is quite strong and I feel that shadows applied over them will really last long. MAC’s eight new Pro-Longwear Paint Pots ( 18.50) are mostly re-promoted shades of prior limited edition Paint Pots.

Great for a night out or special events.Īll in all, I like the colors that I have tested, but I am still on the hunt for the multi-purpose paint pots just like my favorite Soft Ochre and Painterly, and that is Nubile which I will be getting. However, this sparkly base will give depth, dimension and a nice sparkly finish to your eye shadows. You definitely need a good eye base underneath for the shadows to hold on to. Very sparkly but applies patchy on the skin. It is exactly like the Cham Pale paint pots like Dangerous Cuvee and Chilled on Ice. It is basically Antique Gold Reflects Glitter in paint pot form. Genuine Treasure is the most beautiful shade of the bunch, but the glitter turns me off. The texture feels a lot like a fluidline to me. I applied it using my Sonia Kashuk bent eyeliner brush and it created precise lines. It is a darkened navy that is great for dramatic looks, but I think would also be a good liner.
#ALL OF MAC PAINT POTS SWATCHES SKIN#
Imaginary is a definite cream and it leaves a stain on the skin unless you really scrub the product off - that's how strong the staying power of this product is. Beautiful mid-tone coppery bronze that would be great for a lot of fall looks. Idyllic has a little bit of shimmer in it but it is very pigmented and applies more like a cream. This is like a yellower version of Rubenesque. I like it because it's versatile, and the yellow shimmer would make the eyes look more awake. Treasure Hunt is a shimmer paint pot of light pearled yellow.

Of the four new ones I got from the Posh Paradise, two have the shimmer finish, one is a cream and the last is a glitter finish. My least favorite are the ones with sparkle or micro-glitter, because they don't really apply evenly on lids and I am kind of distracted by the glitter. Next to the creams, I like the shimmer ones because they give a really nice texture and radiance to the shadows on top of them. I have been a fan of the paint pots especially the cream ones, since these have the most pigment and staying power on the lids. Treasure Hunt, Genuine Treasure, Idyllic, Imaginary I will be swatching all of them once they are out in stores tomorrow. Can be called as a festive shade & a great pick for bridal wear. Here are some first swatches of paint pots that I have for the Posh Paradise collection. This is quite a versatile shades & works amazingly well with ethnic wears.

Idyllic is quite a complex shade with a mix of brown, copper with red toned reflects. I can’t think of any negatives about the product.

They glide very smoothly & effortlessly on lids & dries down pretty fast. Also they are highly pigmented with rich colour pay off & wears as smudgeproof & water proof post application. They have incredible smooth & creamy texture with very few exceptions in case of any glitters incorporated. MAC Paint Pots are multipurpose products, Eyeshadow, Eyeshadow Base or eyeliner assembled into one. MAC Idyllic Paint Pot was a part of their posh paradise collection (limited edition).
